AJ Springer
AJ Springer grew up in Aberdeen, Washington, a small town that shaped her deep-rooted love for family, community, and the complicated, unforgettable stories found in everyday life.
AJ has never been one to sit still. Over the years, she has raced cars, stepped into the ring for boxing and kickboxing, competed in NPC fitness, owned a gym, and built a career in the fitness industry as a coach, personal trainer, and leader.
AJ's writing is inspired by real people, real experiences, and the moments in life that are sometimes too unbelievable to be made up. Her books blend family, love, heartbreak, humor, resilience, and all the messy pieces in between. She writes characters who are imperfect and complicated because, in her experience, the best stories—and the best people—usually are.
She is the author of MaryLou, DonnaMae, Allan, and Delmar, a collection of deeply personal stories inspired by the lives, relationships, and experiences that helped shape her own.
Outside of writing, AJ serves as a Regional Manager for multiple Orangetheory Fitness studios across Oregon, where she leads teams, builds community, and continues to coach. That connection to people—and the stories they carry with them—continues to influence the way she sees and writes about the world.
Now based in Oregon, AJ balances life as an author, leader, coach, wife, and mother of two. Most mornings, she is up before the sun, stealing a few quiet hours to write before the rest of her world wakes up.
